Donating to HUG
If you would like to make a donation to HUG you can find everything you need to know right here. To donate to a specific project please ensure that you state which project you wish to support.
Both one off and periodical donations are very gratefully accepted. If you would like to make an ongoing commitment, you can easily set up a periodical payment with your bank for funds to be electronically transferred into our account, details listed below. Regular donations assist us greatly in being able to budget for projects and help us to run them smoothly without having to wait while money is being raised.
We are enormously grateful for any donation made, however if you would like to know what is most needed at the moment, please keep reading.

Tailoring and knitting programs
Our tailoring and knitting students are already doing wonderful work; currently making backpacks, school uniforms and jumpers. We would love to expand on this and you can help by:
- Purchasing material to make a school uniform, including shirt and skirt/trousers – $25 each
- Purchasing enough wool to make a school jumper – $5 each
- Purchasing a sewing or knitting machine – $275 each

Cents for Seedlings campaign
We would love you support our coffee initiative at Suubi Secondary School. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for our students and their families to create an income which will help them cover the cost of their own education.
- Students and families will be provided with at least 10 coffee seedling to establish a garden at their home. This will become a permanent project for them, with money raised from these trees helping with education expenses, even beyond their time at Suubi SS.
- A greenhouse will be built in the school compound where students will learn the skills of planting and raising healthy coffee seedlings.
- 20 coffee trees will also be planted on the school site. This will provide further learning opportunities and an ongoing income for the school administration costs.
To get this concept off the ground we are aiming to tap in to our grassroots supports and the coffee lovers of Australia. We truly believe that if many people make a small contribution we can make a huge difference in Uganda; that is why we have come up with our Cents For Seedlings campaign.
We would love you to share this page and/or flyer below with your family, friends and work colleagues and ask them to contribute toward buying coffee seedling/s in Uganda.
By donating 50 cents for one seedling or, say, collecting the change from their own coffee purchases they will be able to buy enough seedlings to support a student to grow coffee trees at their own home.

Tax Deductability
We are very happy to advise that HUG can provide a tax deductible receipt for any donation over $2 as we have been approved by the Australian Tax Office for deductible gift recipients (DGR) status.
If you wish to receive a Tax Deductible Receipt please fill out the form below and ensure you provide the exact name and address of who you would like your receipt made out to.
Donation as a gift
Simply email us details of the item/items you have selected to support and we will email you back a full sized HUG certificate that tells your loved one what has been purchased on their behalf. In addition to this you will be able to present them with a voucher that entitles them to 12 months of free HUGs from you!
